Greetings CT & RI District, It was fantastic to see so many of you at the New Professionals Conference at Hofstra University in October. It was a pleasure to be able to meet so many new people and discuss our upcoming activities, which I’m looking forward to.
On our horizons we have several events planned: - January 6, Happy Hour in Hartford after the Social Issues Retreat, all are welcome! - February 19, the first planning meeting for CT/RI Summer RA Conference at the University of Hartford.
CT/RI Summer RA Conference, what is this you may ask? During the District Dessert social back at Binghamton, members from CT/RI discussed the concept of having a one day summer training for our RAs. This event has now become a reality as Quinnipiac University has graciously offered to host the event and now the planning can begin. This day is not only for our RAs, it will also serve as a venue for professional staff to present to a different group of student staff. If your institution is interested in participating please anticipate to send at least one representative to our planning meeting. As always, please feel free to e-mail me any suggestions that you may have! ~Megan
